Galveston County is under a tropical storm watch as Tropical Storm Laura's path remains uncertain, according to an update from the National Weather Service Houston.

This means that 58-73 mph winds are possible in the next 48 hours, according to a press release sent out by the city of Friendswood.

The city of Friendswood recommends residents avoid unnecessary travel, as some nearby communities may issue voluntary evacuation orders, according to the release.
