Smith Ranch Road expansion
Project: expanding Smith Ranch Road from a two-lane road to four lanes from Hughes Ranch Road to Broadway Street

Project: Involves expanding the two-lane roadway to four lanes from Veterans Drive to Main Street and installing a 10-foot shared use path, landscaping and irrigation
Update: Construction began in 2023 and is "progressing well,” officials said.

Project: Widening the two-lane road to four lanes from Pearland Parkway to Pearland’s city limits
Update: The city is currently looking for a design consultant as of the first quarter of 2025. It’s also been combined with work at the intersection of Pearland Parkway and Barry Rose Road.
- Timeline: Design began in 2023 and construction is anticipated to start in April 2026. It will take around two years to complete.
- Cost: $12.2M
- Funding source: city bonds and unspecified funding sources
Project: This will involve widening the road from McHard Road to West Orange Street. Additions include storm sewers, street lights, detention and a 10-foot shared use path, among other upgrades.
Update: Design updates will require the city to obtain additional property for the project. Currently, a consultant is working toward completing 90% of the design.
- Timeline: Design began in 2018. Construction is expected to start in early 2027 and take two years to complete.
