The city of Friendswood is nearly finished with construction on the northbound side of Blackhawk Boulevard. Additional construction to ensure reliability and ADA compliance will begin on May 11 and is expected to be completed in three weeks.

The project, which began in June 2018, consists of improvements from Friendswood Link Road to Edenvale Street, including replacement of over 6,000 feet of concrete paving, replacement of curbs and gutters and evaluations of existing utilities.

The project cost $4.58 million and was funded through the 2013 city of Friendswood bond.
