Ongoing projects



  1. Hughes Ranch Road expansion
    Triple B received notice to proceed on the Hughes Ranch Road project on March 27, beginning the construction process. The road will be converted from a two- to four-lane road with a median and curbs from Smith Ranch Road to Cullen Boulevard.

Cost: $20.5 million

2. Blackhawk Boulevard reconstruction
The end of construction on Blackhawk has been pushed back to the fall due to rain. The project includes improvements from Friendswood Link Road to Edenvale Street. Improvements include replacement of over 6,000 feet of concrete paving, replacement of curb and gutter and evaluation of existing utilities.

Timeline: June 2018-October 2019
Cost: $4.58 million
Funding sources: 2013 Friendswood bond

3. Friendswood Lakes Boulevard construction
The city and Galveston County are in the design phase of the Friendswood Lakes Boulevard project, from where Friendswood Lakes Boulevard converts from four to two lanes to just before West Boulevard in League City.

Cost: $5.5 million
