1. Pearland is considering a higher impact fee for developers


At a joint meeting between the City Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission, officials will provide details on a possible increase in the impact fee that developers would have to pay on new projects in the city. The fee is intended to recoup costs associated with providing water and wastewater services. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Public Safety Building, 2555 Cullen Parkway.

2. Three new officers join Pearland police


The Pearland Police Department will hold a swearing-in ceremony for three new officers at 11 a.m. Monday at the Public Safety Building, 2555 Cullen Parkway. The ceremony is open to the public. The city's FY 2018 budget included a line item to add two more officers to the department, bringing to total to 101.

3. Talk the issues with your councilmembers


The Pearland Chamber of Commerce will host Councilmembers Tony Carbone and Trent Perez for a roundtable discussion of local issues at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Commerce Center,
6117 Broadway.
