At 7 a.m. the Texas Department of Transportation listed SH 288 Northbound at Hwy. 610 as a high water location with the left shoulder, left lane and exit ramp affected.

By 7:45 a.m., the National Weather service had canceled the flash flood watch in place, however still warned of light to moderate rainfall throughout the day.
The Flash Flood Watch has been canceled as of 7:46 AM CT. Light to moderate rainfall is still expected to persist through the afternoon.

Hobby Airport listed a ground stop affecting arrivals at 7:11 a.m. At 7:54 a.m., the ground stop had been extended to 8:30 a.m.
