Work on repurposing the building is expected to begin Sept. 15, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The project is expected to last until Sept. 30, 2023.
The training center will include a 40-person training room, a break room area, a fitness area that will be shared with the new Fire Station No. 4 and a work station office area, according to the city’s webpage on the facility.
