Elias Armendariz was promoted to CEO of HCA’s Pearland location after serving as the Chief Operations Officer for the network’s Clear Lake location since August 2020, officials said.
Armendariz has also served as the interim CEO of HCA’s Mainland campus, which is part of HCA Houston Clear Lake, since April, according to the release.
In his time at Clear Lake, Armendariz helped grow service areas such as cardiology, neuroscience and trauma services, according to the release. His tenure also oversaw the securing of a $100 million expansion project.

Armendariz joined HCA in 2016 and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a master’s in nursing systems management, according to the release.

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is a full-service acute care hospital that offers 24/7 emergency care and is designated as a level IV trauma center, according to the release.
Other services include general and robotic-assisted surgery, cardiology, orthopedics, outpatient testing and breath health services, among others.
