On Oct. 10, HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball—in partnership with city, county and state emergency service partners—will conduct an emergency preparedness full-scale exercise, according to an Oct. 7 news release.

What you need to know

The hospital is conducting the active aggressor full-scale simulation exercise to ensure the safety and preparedness of staff, patients and visitors in the event of an emergency, according to the news release.

According to the news release, an increased presence of emergency vehicles and heightened activity may result from the exercise.


“By simulating real-world scenarios, we can evaluate our response protocols, enhance collaboration with local law enforcement, and ensure we are equipped to handle potential threats effectively,” the news release states.
