The Kelsey-Seybold Clear Lake Cancer Center will be located at 18833 Gulf Freeway in Webster. The 36,309-square-foot facility is estimated to cost $17 million, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic plans for construction to begin in February with the facility projected to open in April 2024.
“The Kelsey-Seybold Clear Lake Cancer Center will bring specialized services closer to home and work for the people living in the Bay Area,” said John Lyle, Kelsey-Seybold Clinic’s senior vice president of health care service lines.
The facility will provide access to hematology and oncology physicians, a radiation oncology physician, and treatment and infusion therapy. It will also offer mobile positron emission computerized tomography scans, Lyle said. These highly sensitive scans can be used to identify abnormal activity in the body, helpful for finding and planning treatment for cancer.
“Offering cancer services in this area, Kelsey-Seybold’s approach to evidence-based and coordinated care will benefit patients living in the area with convenient, quality medical care at a lower total cost,” Lyle said.
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is a health care company based in the Houston metro area with 34 locations across the region.
