Pearland Chamber of Commerce will be holding a community forum and informational panel on the new coronavirus on March 18. It will take place at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 2320 Hatfield Road, Pearland, and doors will open at 6 p.m.

The panel will discuss the source and spread of the virus, the situation in the U.S., illness severity and what may happen as the outbreak progresses.

Panelists will include U.S. Congressman Pete Olson, two doctors with specialization in travel medicine and infectious diseases and representatives from the Brazoria County Health Department, city of Pearland, Pearland ISD and Alvin ISD.

The forum is open to everyone, but will be streamed live on Facebook so it can be viewed at home.
