Good Shepherd Episcopal Preschool offers a supportive environment as well as an educational program. The low child-to-teacher ratio and high level of parental involvement nurtures the whole child. Classrooms are limited to one teacher and a teacher’s assistant to no more than 11 children. The program only has enrollment capacity for 44 children. The school has a full fine arts program, once-a-week Spanish class and children’s chapel every morning. Good Shepherd separately offers an after-school program.

The educational ministry of FUMC Pearland offers a Christian-based program that promotes the social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cognitive development of children through classroom learning and child-directed, teacher-supported play. Two- and four-day programs are available for the Children’s Day Out program for ages 1-3 as will as for the pre-K program for children age 4. The kindergarten program is offered four days a week, and the student-to-teacher ratio is no more than 14-to-2. FUMC Pearland follows Pearland ISD’s school calendar for holidays and breaks.

In His Steps Academy moved from its home at Shadycrest Baptist Church to Faith Springs Baptist Church on May 18. The school offers a Mother’s Day Out program with two-, three- and four-day a week options. The school provides care, education, activities and guidance for each child rooted in Christian values. The A Beka curriculum prepares children by promoting concepts of shapes, numbers, alphabets, phonics and handwriting. Children attend chapel on a weekly basis and are given daily outdoor play opportunities. Spanish classes are available for all preschool classes, and music education is taught to children ages 2-5. The church also serves as the new home for Pearland Home School Academy.
