Incumbent Brent Erenwert will likely win the race for Friendswood City Council Position 6, according to unofficial election results from Galveston and Harris counties.

As of March 8, 42 out of 43 polling places in Galveston have reported their results, and 452 out of 465 polling places in Harris County have reported their results.

Erenwert has received 1,499 votes, or 61.23% of the votes. Opponent Meg Crowley had received 949 votes, or 38.77% of the votes.


Results are still considered unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk in the coming days.

Unofficial results show incumbent Brent Erenwert will be the likely winner for Friendswood City Council Position 6.

As of 10 p.m., Galveston and Harris counties are reporting that Erenwert has received 61.36% of the votes, or 1,434 votes. Opponent Meg Crowley has received 38.64% of the votes, or 903 votes.


In Galveston County, 42 of 43 polling centers are reporting, while 50 of 465 Harris County polling centers are reporting. Harris County covers the portion of Friendswood east of Clear Creek.

Community Impact Newspaper was unable to reach Erenwert on election night for comment.

In the race for Position 6 on Friendswood City Council, early voting results show incumbent Brent Erenwert has the lead with 62.99% of the votes, according to data from Galveston and Harris counties.

Erenwert has received 62.99% of the votes, or 851 votes, while challenger Meg Crowley has received 37.01% of the votes, or 500 votes. Erenwert has served on the City Council since 2019.

In Galveston County, 20 of 43 polling places are currently reporting. According to Harris County’s website, 0 of 465 polling places are reporting.

Position 4 of Friendswood City Council was also up for election, but incumbent Robert Griffon did not have anyone running against him.
