Pearland City Council passed the budget and tax rate at its regular meeting Sept. 28. Fiscal year 2020-21 began Oct. 1.

The approved tax rate of $0.72 per $100 valuation is lower than the FY 2019-20 rate of $0.7412.

The council passed a general fund expenditures budget of $89.4 million, a total lowered by council action at the Sept. 14 meeting.
