Council Positions 2 and 5 are up for election. Incumbents John Scott and Sally Branson announced their intent to run again at the Jan. 6 meeting.
Scott has served three terms; if he won, this would be his final term on council, as stipulated by city charter.
"It's been a tremendous honor standing up here for nine years," Scott said.
Branson has just served her first term with the council.
"The time has really flown. It has been a true honor to serve this community in this capacity, and it would be a privilege to continue that for a second term," Branson said.
