From Easter egg hunts to all-you-can-eat crawfish, check out these eight events happening in the Pearland and Friendswood areas in April and May. This list is not comprehensive. Events are subject to change.

Easter Eggstravaganza

The Friendswood Methodist Church will host this event, which features an egg hunt for kids pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, lunch, and kite flying on the outdoor fields.Boots & Brews

This event at Rob Ray’s Taproom will feature line dancing and two stepping lessons, and a night of music and dancing.Pearland Grand Arts & Eats

This spring market celebrates local artists and makers, and takes place in the Old Townsite district. Attendees will follow tracks to Grand Boulevard for farmer’s market vendors, maker booths, live music, a children’s zone and food from local restaurants.Autism Awareness Festival & Resource Fair


Attendees are encouraged to wear blue to this festival at Independence Park in Pearland to celebrate World Autism Awareness Day. This event for autism and special needs families features attractions and entertainment, a talent showcase, robots, an easter egg hunt, games, music, a bounce house, raffles, popcorn, cake, pizza and other refreshments.Concerts in the Park series

Every Friday in May, the city of Pearland will invite residents to Southdown Park for tunes from a live band, a variety of food vendors and a playground for kids. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Pets, alcohol, and outside food and drinks are allowed.

Youth Fishing Derby

Over 600 pounds of adult catfish will be stocked in the Centennial Park Pond for kids who are 16 years and younger to catch. Awards will be presented for largest fish caught in three age categories, smallest fish caught and most fish caught. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing supplies and no fishing license is required.Mary Queen Spring Festival

This family-friendly festival under the oak trees at the Mary Queen Catholic Church will feature a plant booth, bake sale, games and rides, music and live auctions, as well as food and treats. Food and game tickets will be available for purchase with proceeds benefitting the church’s programs, such as its food pantry and special friends ministry.Crawfish Festival


The 15th annual all-you-can-eat crawfish and shrimp boil takes place at the Pearland Knights of Columbus venue. It will feature free kids activities, a live band, silent auctions, raffles and a cornhole tournament. Proceeds benefit the Pearland Neighborhood Center, a nonprofit which provides health and human services and assistance to Pearland-area residents.
