Sustainable Stories Film and Art Exhibit

Alvin Community College and the University of Houston - Clear Lake host this festival throughout October and November at each campus. It features 30 short films and visual art pieces inspired to create a more sustainable world. ACC will host a screening of some of the films at 7 p.m. Oct. 25, while UHCL will host a screening at 4 p.m. Nov. 13 followed by a gallery opening at 5:30 p.m.

This folk music concert returns to the Pearland Town Center Pavillion. It will feature acts such as Texas Country Blues & Red Dirt Jamboree, Grace Leer, and Flat River Band, as well as a farmers market, art and craft vendors, a gourmet food garden, and craft beer and wines.

Designer Bag Bingo

Nonprofit Love Bought International hosts this benefit event at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Pearland for orphaned and otherwise vulnerable children. It features bingo, brunch and a bag winning, as well as drawings and giveaways throughout the morning, including a Tiffany’s necklace for the attendee who brings the most friends. Tables of 7-8 can be reserved with the purchase of tickets.

Owles' Shorin-Ryu Karate & Kobudo Dojo hosts this day of training for all martial arts skill levels. Kobodu is a collective term that refers to the Japanese traditional technique for the use of armor, blades and firearms.Hallo-Woof Bash

Pearland’s Animal Services Department hosts this spooky event for families and pets. It will feature a costume contest, pumpkin painting, live music, treats and candy and interactive games.

Pearland Boutique Shop & Hop

Support local shops and businesses—such as And A Little Hope Boutique, The B’s Boutique, and Segura Western Wear—at this event. Each boutique will offer drinks and snacks while participants fill out a shop hop passport. Get it stamped at five or more stores to be entered into a raffle to win a gift card from one of the participating locations.Mom-ster Mash

Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department hosts this mother and son, Halloween-themed event at the Leavesly Park Jones Hangar. It features a costume contest, pizza, snacks, games and dancing.Taste of Pearland
