Howey's Water Safety Festival

Family-owned swim school Houston Swim Club will host this first annual water safety and drowning prevention event at Pearland Town Center ahead of summer. It will feature water safety demonstrations, CPR and rescue lessons, as well as music, games, arts and crafts and giveaways.

Gulf Coast DU Cigar & Whiskey Night

Ducks Unlimited, a wetlands and waterfowl conservation organization, will host a dinner at Gentle Ben Tasting Room where attendees will receive an annual membership to the organization, plus three custom handpicked cigars, an open bar, a catered dinner, games and fellowship for the price of admission.

Adult Bookworms

The Pearland branch Brazoria County Library will host a discussion on the novel “Trespasses” by Louise Kennedy. Books are available at the branch and e-books are available on the Cloud Library. There’s an option to meet virtually as well.Broadway Kids and Encore Performance


The Purple Box Theater, a community theater and academy for the arts, will host a variety show by all of its Broadway Kids and Encore Performers.Juneteenth Celebration & Unity Walk

Join the Brazoria County branch of the NAACP and civic leaders for a unity walk to acknowledge Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. The event features entertainment, free barbecue, local performers and vendors.
