With all 32 polling places reporting, unofficial election results from Brazoria County show Jenny Francis has won her race against Terrence Campbell with a vote total of 1,811, or 55%, to 1,482 votes, or 45%.
Francis said May 4 she is grateful for her voters and looks forward to her time on the school board.
"I will not take my position or responsibility lightly," Francis said. "Thank you for believing in me and casting your vote. Your trust and confidence mean everything to me. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I will give it my all. I cannot wait to serve this district."
Results will not be official until canvassed.

As of 7 p.m., polls are now closing across Texas, and results are starting to roll in for local elections all across the state.
For Pearland ISD, which has one competitive board race, Jenny Francis is leading Terrence Campbell with a vote total of 1,211, or 56.75%, to 923 votes, or 43.25%, according to unofficial results reported by Brazoria County.

Campbell said he doesn’t have any specific priorities at this time, but he will work to meet any concerns parents have.

The pair are running for Position 6 of the board, which is an unexpired term that will run through 2025, according to district officials.
What else?
The district had two other seats set to appear on the ballot, but only the incumbents filed, meaning the races were not contested, according to the district.
Those trustees were Trustee Crystal Carbone, for Position 3, and Sean Murphy, for Position 4, according to the district’s website.
