What are your priorities, if elected?

I am a child advocate. I don’t have any specific priorities at this time. If elected, I will work to identify what are the concerns of our parents, students and teachers. I plan to be a student first, and learn from the current trustees. I see this as an opportunity…

What changes, if any, would you make to the district’s budget?

None at this time.

What programming, if any, would you like to see changed, adjusted and/or added?

None at this time.

Do you support the $105 million bond? Why or why not?

… There are many reasons I support this bond. My top four reasons are: Equal access to educational resources for all students. This will help move our district forward technologically. What are your priorities, if elected?

My priorities are to help expand the educational opportunities for all students and make decisions that will help improve the academic performance of all students. Help ensure that PISD schools implement a plan to recruit and retain the best and diverse staff of people to educate our students.

What changes, if any, would you make to the district’s budget?

I’d like to see more money put into recruiting and retaining high-quality teachers and administrators. Tackling the staffing challenges are and will continue to be priority. I’d also like to see more funding for tutoring, especially in the higher grade levels.

What programming, if any, would you like to see changed, adjusted and/or added?

I’d like to continue to prepare our students to be successful in their post-secondary careers by partnering with business, industry and the community colleges.

Do you support the $105 million bond? Why or why not?

Yes, I served on the bond advisory committee and saw the infrastructure needs of our aging campuses. Roofs, HVAC repairs, replacement. I saw the need for improving our technology, upgrading the internet, phones, and will keep PISD safe and secure.
