Re-roofing projects at Pearland Junior High East and Jamison Middle School will start soon after the Pearland ISD board of trustees approved $3.8 million for re-roofing projects at its March 11 meeting.

District officials recommended the contract be awarded to Houston-based roofing contractor Strategic Roofing Solutions, LLC, according to district agenda documents.

The district extended invitations to 255 potential proposers and received seven offers, district agenda documents note.

Pearland Junior High East’s re-roofing project will cost over $2 million, while Jamison Middle School’s project will cost nearly $1.8 million, according to district documents.


Also of note

Both re-roofing projects are a part of the district’s $105 million bond that passed in 2024, district documents note.

Officials said the bond will also cover future re-roofing projects at the following district locations:
  • Rogers Middle School
  • Shadycrest Elementary
  • Pearland Junior High West
  • Athletic buildings at Pearland High School
  • East transportation
  • PACE Center
  • Old Education Support Center
The re-roofing projects for these locations will take place during the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school year, district documents note. However, officials did not specify when the projects will be considered by the board.

In total, the bond will cover over $17 million for re-roofing projects, district documents note.
