Two packages of vestibule upgrades are on the docket for trustee approval Feb. 11, totaling nearly $2.9 million between them, according to agenda documents. The pair of projects cover vestibules at eight schools. Those include:
  • Alvin Junior High
  • Brothers Elementary
  • Hood Case Elementary
  • Jeter Elementary
  • Marek Elementary
  • Passmore Elementary

While no financial value is included in the item, officials will also consider approving a construction manager to handle the upcoming expansion and renovation projects at Alvin and Manvel high schools, both of which are also part of the district’s 2024 bond, documents show.

The renovations at the two high schools are expected to be the largest component of the district’s bond, totaling nearly $144 million, Community Impact previously reported. The pair of projects will also be among the last ones carried out in the bond’s cycle.
