The full story

The Oilers had at least 34 wins, eight losses and two ties during the regular season, which consisted of district, playoff and tournament games, according to Max Preps.

The team will play at 4 p.m. on June 7 at Dell Diamond in Round Rock against Lewisville Flower Mound.

This will be the second time the Oilers compete against the Lewisville Flower Mound Jaguars for state playoffs, as the Oilers lost at the state championship last year 6-4 to the Jaguars, according to Max Preps.

The winner of the game will play at 4 p.m. on June 8 at Dell Diamond, for the 6A finals, according to a social media post from the district.

Along with holding a sendoff for the team, the district made multiple posts wishing the team luck.

“Best of luck [to the] Oilers,” one of the posts read. “Your hometown is cheering you on!”
