The overview
With Barbara Bennett Elementary School and Iowa Colony Junior High School set to open in 2024, AISD officials approved new boundaries for the 2024-25 school year to both address the new schools, as well as deal with a few that are expected to reach capacity in the coming years.
The plan for the boundaries was originally presented to the board at its November meeting. The changes affect a handful of elementary school and junior high schools, according to district documents. Those include:
- Meridiana Elementary
- EC Mason Elementary
- Pomona Elementary
- Savannah Lakes Elementary
- Caffey Junior High
- Manvel Junior High
- Alvin Junior High
- Fairview Junior High
- Rodeo Palms Junior High
