Alvin ISD’s board of trustees will take a vote on the district’s newest boundaries at its Dec. 12 meeting, according to district documents.

At its November meeting, the board received a presentation that proposed new boundaries to account for a couple of new schools set to open in 2024. The boundaries would affect about a dozen different schools at the elementary and junior high level, according to the Nov. 14 presentation.

It’s expected that, with the existing boundaries, several schools over the next decade would be over capacity, according to district documents.
