The gist
At the district's Nov. 14 board meeting, trustees heard a presentation on what the new boundaries could look like.
In 2024, Barbara Bennett Elementary School and Iowa Colony Junior High School are opening. Meanwhile, a number of campuses already opened are at capacity. The goal of the new boundaries was to take into account the new schools, as well as lower the number of students at others.
The boundaries will affect several elementary and junior high schools in the district, according to district documents.

The presentation at the Nov. 14 meeting was informational only. Trustees are expected to vote on the final boundaries at their December meeting.
In the meantime, there will be opportunities for the community to provide feedback on the boundaries, such as at a Parent University class. A date was not given for the meeting.
