Alvin ISD to hold its annual livestock show and auction

Alvin ISD’s Livestock Show and Auction is returning Oct. 27 and will feature events across two days, officials with the event said.

What you need to know

The schedule for the event begins Oct. 27 and will run through Oct. 28, said Karey Brown, CTE program adviser with Alvin ISD, in an email. The event will be held at the Bobby Verdine Agricultural Facility, 12970 CR 190, Alvin.

The schedule includes one event—a rabbit, turkey and broiler show—at 6 p.m. Oct. 27, Brown said. The rest of the events, taking place Oct. 28, will include:

• Swine, lamb, goat and steer show at 7 a.m., followed by showmanship competitions for each class
• A buyers luncheon at 1 p.m.
• A live auction at 3 p.m.

Throughout the day, there will also be a silent auction taking place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Brown said.
