Alvin Community College students will see a number of upgrades to their campus as soon as the start of the fall semester.

ACC’s board of regents unanimously approved upgrades to campus facilities and infrastructure during their meeting April 27, according to a press release. The board approved upgrades to a boiler system for the Health Science Building, classroom technology and the Lab School playground. Regents also voted to purchase new vehicular signage for the campus.

A multiyear effort to upgrade instructional technology will begin in summer 2023 with 18 classrooms and nine conference rooms receiving upgrades to allow hybrid participation. An offline boiler will be replaced, and the Lab School playground will be landscaped and receive softer mulch. Vehicular wayfinding and parking signage will also receive an upgrade. These efforts represent a total investment of $596,150.
