Pearland ISD’s student transfer program applications are open Feb. 1-March 10, allowing students an opportunity to move between schools or districts based on their location for the 2023-24 school year.

If a student meets the district’s eligibility requirements, one may attend a different school within the district or transfer to a PISD school from another district. Students who do not apply by the deadline or do not meet the eligibility requirements will continue to attend their zoned school.

The PISD website states transfers are a privilege, not a right, and only zoned campuses are obligated to enroll a student. The eligibility requirements for a transfer include a past attendance rate of 90% or higher, acceptable tardiness and pickup timeliness, and an acceptable discipline record.

Applications must be completed by a student's parent who has custody or by a legal guardian with whom a student lives full-time.
