Alvin ISD took the week of Nov. 7-11 to celebrate National School Psychology week.
“Alvin ISD's licensed specialists in school psychology play an important role in supporting the academic and emotional [and] behavioral needs of students,” Director of Special Education Sarah Chauvin said in an AISD press release. “Students can’t learn in the classroom if they are not receiving the support they need, and our LSSPs have the expertise to assess and provide recommendations to help students experience success.”
AISD employs 18 LSSPs and three LSSP interns, who help students and support staff, according to the release.
