Alvin Community College will hold a grand reopening at 10 a.m. on Oct. 20 at Building A of the main campus located at 3110 Mustang Road, Alvin.

The grand reopening will celebrate the completion of construction on a variety of different campus improvements.

These improvements include a courtyard redesign, a student center remodel, a fitness center update, theater renovations, major infrastructure replacements, an addition of new culinary arts facilities to the Nolan Ryan Center, law enforcement academy facilities and parking lot renovations, according to a presentation on the state of the college.

The board of regents approved $25 million in maintenance tax notes in 2018, and construction on the campus began in 2019, according to a press release from Alvin Community College.
