End-of-course State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness results in Alvin ISD from this spring are roughly equal to or slightly lower than spring 2021 results.
STAAR end-of-course, or EOC, exams occur at the end of the algebra I, biology, English I, English II and U.S. history courses.
Across the board, Alvin ISD's spring exam results remained above state averages at the “approaches grade level” performance level. The higher performance tiers of “meets grade level” and “masters grade level” were slightly higher than or equal to state averages at these levels.
Slight dips in averages can be seen in the algebra I and English I exams, with roughly equal averages in the other exam categories.
Grades 3-8 STAAR results are not yet released and are expected in early July, according to the Texas Student Assessments data website.
