The University of Houston Clear Lake, including UHCL Pearland and the Texas Medical Center locations will be closed Feb. 4 due to inclement weather in the region, the university announced on its social media pages. UHCL will have all classes canceled on Feb. 4 and it expects to resume normal operations Feb. 5, according to its Twitter page.

UHCL joins a list of school districts across the southeast Houston area, Alvin Community College and San Jacinto College, who have canceled classes on Feb. 4 due to the inclement weather across the region.

The ACC campus and ACC Lab School will be closed on Feb. 4, and all classes will be canceled, the college announced in a news release. Additionally, staff will work remotely during normal operation hours and classes will resume Feb. 5.

All San Jacinto College classes, activities and business operations will be closed from 11 p.m. Feb. 3 until 11 p.m. Feb. 4, the college announced in a news release.

"Employees should not report to work unless contacted by their leader," San Jacinto College officials announced in a news release.


San Jacinto College South Campus is located at 13735 Beamer Road, Houston. The college is expected to have classes, activities and normal business operations Feb. 5, according to the release.
