With 46 out of 46 polling places reporting, unofficial results from the Brazoria County Clerk’s office indicate Vivian Scheibel has pulled off the win for the Alvin ISD position 7, garnering 22,463 votes, or 62.53%. Her opponent, Floyd Hogdes Jr., garnered 13,462 votes, 37.47% of the total votes.

It should be noted that results are unofficial until they are canvassed and certified by the county clerk. Under Texas election law, the clerk accepts and counts mail-in ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Nov. 4, if they were sent from inside the U.S., or Nov. 9 if they were sent from outside the U.S.

With early voting results coming in for Brazoria County, Vivian Scheibel has pulled ahead early in the race for Alvin ISD Position 7 with 20,597 votes, while Floyd Hodges Jr. trails with 12,364 votes.


This is out of 32,961 ballots counted so far.
