Alvin ISD is a minority-majority school district. A large percentage of its students are Hispanic or Latino, followed by Black and white populations of roughly similar size. Two of AISD's high schools had graduation rates of nearly 98%.

Graduation rates listed are for students who graduated in four years in 2018. Shadow Creek High School is a newer school and did not have a graduating class in 2018.

While 40% of Alvin ISD's student population is Hispanic, only 18.7% of its teacher population is Hispanic. Over half of the district's teacher population is white.
