In an effort to slow exposure of COVID-19, Pearland, Alvin and Friendswood ISD campuses will remain closed until April 10.

AISD Superintendent Carol Nelson said in a press release that schools will remain physically closed but the district will continue working to provide students with remote and digital learning experiences.

AISD campuses will be reaching out to parents with details on accessing lessons for students after the coming days where teachers will be creating plans for long-term digital teaching.

PISD Superintendent John Kelly also announced that the district will remain closed due to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention social distancing protocol and the recent suggestion from the White House that people avoid gatherings of more than 10, according to the press release.

PISD asks that parents monitor their emails for information regarding remote instruction and the free Grab & Go meal program for students, according to the release.

F
ISD will also be closing its schools until April 10, saying in a press release that normal district operations will be suspended until that time.

FISD parents will receive instructions from their student's campus principal about supporting their children's education while at home, the release stated. More information about the district's plans will be sent out over social media and through email.
