Alvin, Friendswood and Pearland ISDs are allowing parents to pick up students early without it counting against their attendance due to the weather. Schools will also release at normal time today.

Alvin ISD sent out a notice this afternoon to parents that the district will resume classes Sept. 19. However, the district will continue to monitor the weather.
"Although we do not anticipate a change in weather at this time, the district will continue to monitor the radar closely and keep you informed should anything change," district officials said in a written statement.
Pearland and Friendswood ISDs will make the decisions the morning of Sept. 19 officials from both districts said. For updates Sept. 19, check district websites and social media.
