Botkin said election night was a victory for Pearland families.

"We will continue to make Pearland the best around," Botkin said May 5 on Facebook. "We are so thankful, blessed and we love each and every one of you."

Barry fended off two challengers to take the reins on the school board again.

“We’re very excited to continue on with another three year term with the school district," Barry said. "We started so many … different things over the last three years, and I’m looking forward to continuing on with Pearland ISD and seeing those initiatives through.”
