The Pearland ISD Education Foundation raised over $148,000 through its annual giving campaign and gala, which was held March 3. This year, the organization will award up to $115,000 in innovative teaching grants to educators.

“Through continued generosity of our giving partners, event sponsors and community supporters, we were able to recognize outstanding educators and fund their ideas to enhance innovative learning in Pearland ISD classrooms,” foundation president Donna Rizzo said in a news release.

The gala featured dinner, live music, a live and silent auction and dancing. Sponsors included Dr. Brett Cordes with The Center for ENT, David L. Smith Realty/ The Legacy Group, Stanfield Properties, Stantec Architecture and The Stay Focused Team, which includes Bay Area Tutoring, Bright Futures, LLC, and PSY Clinic.

Bayway Chevrolet will serve as the foundation’s inaugural Adopt-a-Grant sponsor and will award the selected recipient during the annual Surprize Patrol the week of May 21.
