Alvin ISD has been selected to receive the Caudill Award for its planning and design of Shadow Creek High School.

The three-story building, which cost $98 million to build, serves 2,500 high school students. The school also features an auditorium, a natatorium, football, soccer, baseball and softball fields. Stantec was the architect for the project.

The Caudill Award is the highest honor for planning and design in the annual Exhibit of School Architecture competition hosted by the Texas Association of School Administrators and Texas Association of School Boards.

Alvin ISD won alongside three other school districts.

The projects will be on display and the winners will be recognized Jan. 28-31 at the 2018 TASA Midwinter Conference in Austin.
