A new buffet named Tejanos Buffet is now open in Alvin as of late March, according to a social media post by the restaurant.
The overview
The location of the restaurant is formerly Johnny’s Buffet, but officials with Tejanos announced it has taken over with a new name, new menu and new ownership.
The new buffet offers barbecue, Tejano cuisine, comfort food, seafood and salads, according to the social media post.

The new owner Javier Alacorre began his restaurant journey in California, and eventually moved to Texas to own other restaurants, including Yanni’s Gyros and Kabobs in Galveston, as well as Lindo Mar Bar and Grill in Pearland, the social media post read.
This will be Alacorre’s first buffet he has opened, he said in the social media post.
One last thing
The restaurant is currently in its soft-opening phase, but will hold a grand opening March 30, according to the social media post.
