JAX Burgers Fries & Shakes in Old Town Pearland reopened after a three-year hiatus, rehiring most of its original staff an employee said. Opened in 2019, the original owner of the location suffered health complications, leading to the restaurant's closure the employee said.

JAX Burgers Fries & Shakes was first established in Spring in 2010 and has since expanded to include seven locations in the Houston area and one in San Marcos. The burger restaurant is known for its "special" blend of beef, crispy fries and full menu of shakes, including blueberry, peanut butter and pineapple.
