While the average age of Brazoria County residents ranges from the late 30s to the early 40s, the majority of the active cases in the county are in the 20-29 age bracket, according to county data.
COVID-19 patients have taken up a fraction of the ICU and general-use beds available in Brazoria County, according to data from the SouthEast Texas Regional Advisory Council. Since the beginning of July, the number of COVID-19 patients in general use and ICU beds has fallen.
