Brazoria County reported 71 new active confirmed coronavirus cases Aug. 3, the smallest amount the county has reported since July 1. However, case counts started to climb again Aug. 4-6.

On Aug. 4, the county reported 108 new active confirmed coronavirus cases. The county reported 100 new cases Aug. 5 and 127 new cases Aug. 6.
The county also reported 26 recoveries Aug. 3, 59 recoveries Aug. 4, 61 recoveries Aug. 5 and 89 recoveries Aug. 6. The county also reported nine deaths Aug. 5.

Pearland reported more cases than any other city in the county Aug. 3-6. The city also has more positive cases than any other city in the county overall.

The majority of cases in the county were reported in the 20-29 age bracket. The 20-29 and 30-39 age brackets reported the most cases Aug. 3-6.
