Going into the weekend, Brazoria County reported 128 new confirmed coronavirus cases, 95 recoveries and one death July 17. The 40- to 49-year-old age bracket reported 28 cases, the most out of all age brackets. It was followed closely by the 30-39 age bracket, which reported 22 cases. Thirty-eight of the confirmed cases were Pearland residents, more than any other city in the county.
On July 18, the county reported fewer cases and recoveries. The county reported 90 new confirmed cases, 56 recoveries and two deaths. Once again, the 40-49 age bracket reported the most cases with 19 cases in that individual age bracket. This was followed by 16 cases in the 30-39 age bracket and 14 cases in the 20-29 age bracket. On July 18, Alvin and Angleton reported 14 cases each, more than any other city in the county. Pearland reported 12 new cases.
On July 19, the county reported 126 new confirmed cases and did not report any deaths or recoveries. The 20- to 29-year-old age bracket reported 26 cases, more than any other age bracket. It was followed by the 30-39 age bracket, which reported 24 cases. Clute reported 18 cases, more than any other city in the county. It is followed by Alvin and Angleton, which reported 16 cases each.
