Brazoria County is reporting 84 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus July 9 as well as 43 recoveries and one death. The death, a Pearland nursing home resident, brings the total number of deaths in the county to 20.

Of the 84 new cases, three are 0-9 years old, six are 10-19 years old, 14 are 20-29 years old, 18 are 30-39 years old, 13 are 40-49 years old, 12 are 50-59 years old, eight are 60-69 years old, three are 70-79 years old and seven are 80 or older.

Of the 84 new cases, 17 are Pearland residents, six are Alvin residents, 11 are Angleton residents, eight are Lake Jackson residents, eight are Manvel residents, five are Clute residents, one is an Iowa Colony resident, six are Freeport residents, five are Richwood residents, three are Brazoria residents, two are West Columbia residents, two are Sweeny residents, two are Liverpool residents, two are Brookside Village residents, one is a Jones Creek resident and five are Holiday Lakes residents.
