Brazoria County has reported 18 new active COVID-19 cases and 12 new recoveries according to data released by the county on May 6.
This brings the total number of Brazoria County confirmed positive cases to 588. Out of those cases, 278 are active, 303 are recoveries and seven have died.
Between April 30 and May 6, 103 new confirmed active cases of COVID-19 were reported in Brazoria County. 50 of these cases are Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmates.
