Friendswood will close several park facilities until further notice in order to comply with coronavirus reduction measures such as social distancing.

The closed park areas include playgrounds; restrooms; the PetSafe Dog Park; Schulz SportsPark; the Centennial Park basketball courts; and the Stevenson Park splash pad, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. These closures are temporary safety measures to flatten the curve of new coronavirus cases.

All other Friendswood parks are open to the public, and there are no other closures planned at this time. Residents are encouraged to follow healthy distancing practices when going to the parks.
