In response to the coronavirus outbreak, the Galveston County Appraisal District will not be providing in-person “Effectively Protest Your Property Value” classes until further notice.

Citizens are encouraged to check the Galveston County Tax Office website and its social media pages for updates on classes, according to a press release sent out by the appraisal district. The class booklet will also be available on the Galveston County Tax Office website starting April 20.

The GCAD is also closed, though citizens are encouraged to contact the office over phone or email, according to the release.
