The city of Pearland has issued additional restrictions for the use of city park facilities. Starting April 10, park playgrounds, courts, restrooms, pavilions and dog parks will be closed until further notice.

The city is working with regional and state partners to watch the coronavirus situation and keep the Pearland community safe and informed, according to a press release sent out by the city.

These closures are to promote social distancing and efforts to flatten the curve of COVID-19, according to the press release.

The city is encouraging residents to use the trail systems and green spaces that are still open while maintaining a minimum of 6 feet between individuals, as is recommended by social distancing measures, according to the press release.
